Winter activities

Winter activities

You can even reach the Czech Republic. The hill region around Myjava attracts families with children for winter trips.

If there is enough snow, you can go cross-country skiing through the hill region under Veľká Javorina, near the towns of Stará Turá, Myjava, and Brezová pod Bradlom, which are only a few kilometers from the cottage. Several sections run close to the Czech Republic border.

The most popular route, Hlavina – Hamovanie – Kubíkov vrch, is six kilometers long. It is suitable for families with small children and, since it is groomed by a snowcat, it is passable even with a small amount of snow.

You can also enjoy downhill skiing at Skiland Stará Myjava, located 15 km from the cottage. It is suitable for both beginners and advanced skiers.

For families with children, there are many hills and slopes ideal for sledding and tobogganing.

Alternatively, you can go on winter hikes along snowy trails and enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding landscape.
